Frozen Beverages in a Fraction of
the Space with Ultra-1
The Ultra-1 Gourmet Ice¨ dispenser allows operators to make
wonderful frozen beverages in just 8 inches (20.1 cm) of
counter space. A patented reversing auger speeds freeze time
and reduces air mixing. This easy-to-program unit has a
touchpad display, enhanced Òno lubeÓ three-piece faucet, and
an internally monitored refrigeration system for prolonged
performance. One large, 3-gallon (11.4 litre) hopper
provides optimum cooling and serving capacity. The touchpad
display guides cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Like the other BUNN Gourmet Ice¨ dispensers, the Ultra-1 has
a full 3-year parts and labor warranty on the electronics
and a 5-year parts warranty on the compressor. It is
sanitation listed by NSF to Standard 18 (includes dairy and
alcohol) and safety listed to ETL to UL Standard (UL 471)
and CSA Standard (C22.2 No. 120). Stainless/white, black and
stainless, and all-black models are available in 120 and 230
volt configurations.
SmartWAVEª Fits Office Coffee Needs
The new BUNN SmartWAVE low
profile brewer, at 17Ó in height, fits under a standard
cabinet, making it an excellent choice for an office coffee
setting. Turbulence is an important element in brewing
perfect coffee. To enhance this, SmartWAVE technology was
developed to provide uniformity of extraction and more
contact between water and coffee. The result Ð a great cup
of coffee.
The adjustable legs and slide out tray make it possible to
brew into 1.9 liter thermal carafes as well as a variety of
lever-action and push-button airpots. Easily transport these
to remote serving areas and keep coffee hot and fresh for
hours.
BUNN offers a Silver Seriesª version with analog switches,
accompanied by red/green LED for programming and brewing
status. Choose from three pulse brew routines to adjust the
coffee flavor profile.
BrewMETERª and pulse brew give control over the extraction
time adjusting the coffee flavor profile for the standard
SmartWAVE models. It also utilizes the same red/green LED
read-out for brewer status. Energy-saver mode, standard on
all models, reduces tank temperature during idle periods.
Hot and Cold Espresso Beverages at
the Touch of a Button
Dispense both hot and cold espresso beverages at the touch
of a button with the newest model in BUNN"s line of
superautomatic espresso machines: the Tiger XL Cool Frothª.
This small (16 inches wide) machine can deliver incredibly
rich and creamy espresso, cappuccino, latte and iced
cappuccino or latte at a rate of up to 100 eight-ounce
drinks per hour.
The unitÕs double hopper holds up to 1.5 lbs. of fresh
beans, so that two separate kinds of espresso can be used.
After the beans are ground, an intelligent modular brewing
chamber adjusts espresso flavor, simulating the motion of a
barista tamping and polishing the grind, so that espresso is
extracted uniformly for optimum flavor. A pod brewing option
is also available for preparing low demand drinks like decaf
espresso or a unique blend.
Beverages in cups ranging from 4.5 to 7.38 inches tall can
be served from the Tiger Cool Froth. The easy-to-use control
panel guides the user through simple steps for making
exceptional espresso beverages, while the semi-automated
cleaning cycle makes daily cleaning easy for the operator.
Rich milk foam for cappuccino or latte is delivered by an
innovative method that does not inject steam or water to
dilute the foam. The Cool Froth is available with an
internal chilled storage system that holds 1 gallon (4
litres) of milk (Tiger XL Cool Froth). A model is also
available that does not contain the milk storage, so
external milk storage is required (Tiger XL Cool Froth EXT).
The Tiger is also available in the one-step superautomatic M Series for hot espresso beverages and the two-step S Series, featuring a steam wand with a temperature sensor to prevent overheating of milk. On the S Series, the internal milk foamer is replaced by an external steam wand for maximum operator control and a stage for milk preparation to engage the consumer.
All BUNN Espress¨ Tiger models are supported by a full two-year parts and one-year labor warranty. The BUNNserve¨ nationwide network backs the Tiger with unequaled support and service.
High Volume Brewing and Serving Made Easy with Titan
You can now easily brew six gallons (22.7L) of coffee with
the new Titanª Dual coffee brewer from BUNN¨. The Titan
brews two, three-gallon (11.4L) servers of perfect coffee in
six minutes or less, so that you can provide coffee in even
the most high-volume serving environments. The Titan Dual
brews 34.3 gallons (129.8 litres) of coffee per hour.
The Titan provides total coffee flavor management.
Pre-infusion, pulse brew variable by-pass and digital
temperature control combine for ideal coffee extraction. All
of this and so simple to use -- you donÕt have to be an
engineer to operate this brewer: the BrewMETERª interface
allows the operator to easily adjust the strength of the
brewed coffee to their desired flavor profile.
The LCD screen and touchpad provide step-by-step programming
and diagnostics. Brew volumes, tank temperature, cold brew
lockout and all other adjustments are right at your
fingertips.
The TitanÕs large brew funnels are capable of holding up to
28 ounces of ground coffee and include the BUNN SplashGard¨
for safety. For smaller batches, the brew funnels come
equipped with filter paper retainer rings, which keep the
filter paper from folding in. Electronic funnel locks come
standard to prevent removal of the funnel while brewing.
The 3-gallon ThermoFresh¨ servers are insulated to keep
coffee hot for hours. The 7.9-inch faucet cup clearance
allows coffee to be dispensed into a variety of thermal
carafes and cup sizes. Custom server merchandising programs
are available too.
Dispense Hot Water in Three
Portion Sizes
Food and beverage preparation just got easier with the
introduction of the five-gallon H5E-DV PC portion control
hot water system. The H5E-DV PC dispenses hot water in three
portion sizes at operator-set, precise temperatures between
65¼F-205¼F (18.3¼C-96.1¼C) to ensure consistent water
temperature. The operator can determine portion size and set
it easily with front of machine volume programming. Three
separate portion sizes can be dispensed with a push-and-hold
continuous dispense button.
All BUNN hot water dispensers allow hot water to be located
at the food preparation site, increasing the speed, safety
and efficiency of kitchen staff. Large amounts of mashed
potatoes, gravy, cheese sauce, gelatin, oatmeal, and many
more foods can be prepared quickly using these systems. Two,
five and 10 gallon models are available, as well as a
pourover hot water system.
With the increasing popularity of liquid coffee, BUNN has introduced three new dispensers for bag-in-the box liquid coffee concentrate. The new dispensers deliver beverages with superior consistency, have an inviting contemporary design, easy, cost-effective operation, electronic controls, and many other unique features.
The new Liquid Coffee Ambient Dispenser for Iced Coffee (LCA-2 IC) allows operators to connect to an ambient water supply and dispense liquid coffee concentrate for a variety of iced coffee beverages. The dispenser’s narrow 12" (30.5 cm) width accommodates all .5 gallon (1.9 L) and most 1 gallon (3.8 L) bag-in-box (BIB) containers. Refill or rinse LED lights alert the operator when more concentrate or cleaning is needed. Sanitation listed by ETL to NSF Standard 18 and safety listed by ETL to UL Standard (UL 197) and CSA Standard (C22.2 No. 109 - model LCR-2C).
The new low profile liquid coffee dispenser (LCA-2 LP) makes it possible to dispense shelf-stable, ambient liquid concentrate products at a rate of 120 (5 oz.) cups per hour from a machine that is only 23” high and almost 16” wide (58.9cm high and 40.1cm wide). This small dispenser can accommodate two .5-gallon bag-in-box (BIB), serving two coffee products and hot water. Refill and rinse LED lights alert the operator when these functions need to take place. The LCA-2 LP can dispense by the cup for self-serve applications or portion-control to fill cups or carafes. It is sanitation listed by ETL to NSF Standard 18 and safety listed by ETL to UL Standard (UL 197) and CSA Standard.

The iMIX Silver Series can dispense up to 68, 12-ounce hot powdered beverages per half hour. A cost-effective solution for superior cold drinks, the BUNN JDF-2S Silver Series delivers either juice or iced coffee at the touch of a button. Designed to serve either frozen or ambient products, including remote bag-in-box, the JDF-2S ensures consistent drink quality from the top to the bottom of every glass with a patented High Intensity™ mixing chamber. Only 10 inches (24.9 cm) wide, the JDF-2S saves valuable counter space, complimenting BUNN’s 4-hopper model, the JDF-4.
The JDF-2S is available with either a juice or iced coffee display. Quick-dispense equals customer satisfaction and icy cold juice is assured even during busy times with an 8-pound (3.6 kg) ice bank. The JDF-2S has a flow rate of 1.0 to 1.5 ounces (29.6 to 44.4 ml) per second. Most juice cups will fit 7.5” (19.1 cm) cup clearance. IL – The Bunn-O-Matic Corporation, a manufacturer of
commercial and home beverage equipment, has announced that
its facilities in Creston, Iowa; Springfield, Illinois and
White Hall, Illinois facilities have successfully passed ISO
9001:2000 Triennial Assessment. All ISO registered companies
must pass this complete audit of all aspects of Quality
Management System once every three years in order to
continue their registration.
The ISO 9000 series standards are internationally recognized quality management system requirements developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The standards emphasize on quality commitment and planning by top management and all employees. This “system input, system output” approach is measured and evidence of system performance must be demonstrated.
BUNN began the registration process in 1998. The White Hall, Illinois facility was added to the registration in 2003. As part of the process, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) performed an on-site assessment, examination of documented procedures and a survey of the company’s overall operations. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001:2000, UL will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of BUNN’s operations.
The successful completion of the Triennial Assessment was made possible by the ongoing and sustained efforts of BUNN employees to continually improve the Quality Management System. At the core of these improvement efforts is the belief that we must understand the customer's, both internal and external, requirements and complete the job right the first time. Fresh, good-tasting water is essential since it makes up more than 98 percent of a cup of coffee. Mineral content can affect taste. For best results, water should not exceed these parts per million(ppm) of dissolved minerals:
Brewing perfect coffee starts with clean equipment. Make sure your brewer is free from any contamination or odors that might affect the coffee.

The temperature of the water during brewing affects flavor and extraction.

The brewing time or the time water is in contact with coffee grind determines the amount of coffee material extracted, the major component affecting flavor.

Turbulence is created as the water passes through and over the coffee. It should cause the particles to separate and create a uniform flow of water around them for proper extraction.
